1. Check the Apple MagSafe Conditions
Check your MagSafe, both the adapter and the cable. Make sure there is no damage to the adapter or cable. Try using another MagSafe to charge your MacBook Pro. If it works well, you know the answer. That means you have to switch MagSafe to a new one. See here Magsafe original.
2. Check the Electrical Outlet
Before we move on to the troubleshooting steps, try charging your Mac using a different electrical outlet or try using the same outlet to charge another device. If the power at your place has been cut off while charging, try unplugging the MagSafe from the outlet, waiting for 30 seconds to 1 minute and plugging it back in.
3. Try to Clean MagSafe Port on MacBook Device
Sometimes, the cause of a macbook not being able to charge comes from a simple thing. One of the common ones is that something is stuck in the MagSafe port, such as a small object or debris. Check and remove objects from the port with a toothpick. Once done, do the same to the MagSafe adapter. Do it gently and carefully.

The 2009 to 2018 MacBook Pro models have a maximum cycle count of up to 1000 times. You can check this information by opening the Apple menu () and selecting System Information. In this panel, you can see the current number of cycles and the condition of your battery. You may see one of these four battery states: Normal, Replace Immediately, Replace Now, or Battery Service.
